Lawn Services

A healthy lawn begins in the spring with the cleanup process. We take extra time to blow out all of the debris that accumulated in the landscape during the winter months. We also thatch the entire turf; vacuum and power rake the debris. This process allows the dormant lawn to rejuvenate and begin growth for another season. Once the lawn starts to mature and grow, we begin a weekly lawn maintenance program in May. At the end of the season, we get the lawn ready for our harsh Minnesota winters through a multi-step process. Starting as early as September, we’ll begin to mulch the leaves as an effort to put these nutrients back into the lawn. In October, we do a full cleanup of leaves and shorten the grass height for winter. Then, we plan for the winter and the snow.

We would be pleased to provide a free estimate upon request.

Fertilization

For many years, Passau Land Care in New Brighton, MN has partnered with TruGreen for turf feeding and weed management. This partnership gives us an edge by giving the properties we service assessment from two experts who are working together to ensure that your turf and landscape are healthy and weed-free. Through this relationship, we are also able to offer the timeliest, best-quality, and safest chemical treatments available. All turfs have different chemical needs. When bidding on properties, we combine both the needs of the property and budget considerations together to create the best outcome. We are also constantly assessing the lawn’s needs throughout the year and we will make recommendations related to the turf periodically to maintain the lush and health of the grounds. After the chemicals are applied, flags are inserted into the ground to inform of application.

Irrigation

Irrigation that is working correctly and timed appropriately is necessary to promote healthy and green plants and turf areas. During the start-up process, an overall assessment will be made to the irrigation system and the sprinkler heads. System/sprinkler head repairs will be made as necessary or requested.
